My Design Philosophy:

Meeting people and helping them to create and achieve their personal, unique interiors is a passion for me. There is a lot of pleasure in creating something lovely! I believe good design should stimulate emotion and design, not only with my eyes, but with my heart. For me, it is just as important how a room makes you feel, as well as how it looks.

Twelve years ago I began working at a small wallpaper store, placing orders for three employees. For 10 hours a week, I worked around my young children’s schedules, balancing between work and home. Over the years, as my girls grew, so did Creative Wallcoverings.

 

I worked in various administrative positions, developing many professional and personal friendships that have assisted in the growth of Creative Wallcoverings & Interiors into an award-winning design firm with a current staff of 14 employees and one of the largest design libraries in New Jersey.

 

After returning to school, and earning my Interior Design certificate, I began an apprenticeship with Rachel Kapner, owner, president and senior designer. Rachel has shared with me her extensive knowledge of interior design and her strong professional work ethic as we helped assist more than 300 clients to create and achieve their desired interiors, as well as exteriors.

Together, with the designers, I helped to create three rooms, at three different Show Houses in NJ. We were honored with the Tulip Award at Mansion in May 2006. Our “Ross Family” Nursery won the prestigious award of being voted “Favorite Room” by the thousands of attendees.

I have resourced and researched countless elements of design. Attending events and showrooms at the design centers in NYC, allows me to keep up to date with the latest design trends. I design and create ribbon bulletin boards, each with a unique look and custom fit.
